Milton Apartment is situated in a quiet residential part of Douglas with its own garage and so our guests avoid the parking problems of central Douglas. It is nevertheless
within walking distance of the town centre and only a short distance from the delightful Manx countryside. If you prefer to use public transport, buses pass within 50 metres of the apartment.
The apartment consists of a living room / dining room, a double bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a storeroom. From the front door, you will find the kitchen on the right. It's very well equipped with fridge (if you need more freezer storage you can use our freezer in the garage), electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine (with condenser tumble dryer) and more crockery and utensils than
two people could possibly use on holiday. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath with plenty of hot water heated with a new (2012) gas central heating boiler.
In the hallway there is a payphone and table and on the other side of the hall you will find the bedroom and living room. Entertainment includes a 32" Sony High Definition wide screen TV which is internet enabled (so you can watch the BBCiPlayer, YouTube etc) and see the Freeview channels in HD. There is also a Sky TV subscription (including sport and movie channels
and Sky+) and a Bluray player. We provide free broadband internet access from the computer in the living room and there are ethernet sockets for you to connect your own devices and limited wireless network availability. There are a selection of books and games, CD player and DAB radio. We provide plenty of tourist information and we are also nearby to help if you need anything extra. The bedroom contains a kingsize (5') double bed, a pine wardrobe and chest of drawers, bedside cabinets with lights, a hair dryer and a radio alarm clock.
Milton Apartment has its own entrances at the front and rear. The front entrance has six steps from the lane at the side of the building and the rear entrance is from the patio behind our house. This also has four steps and so the apartment is, unfortunately, not suited to wheelchairs. You may use one of the garages
at the rear of the building (furthest away from the house and apartment) or you park in front of the garage. Cleanliness is one of our highest priorities and we operate a very strict no smoking rule to ensure that all of our guests are able to fully enjoy the cleanliness and decor. The apartment is only suitable for two people and
reluctantly, to ensure that the decor is maintained to the highest standards, we no longer cater for babies or children.

From the ferry terminal
From the ferry terminal in Douglas, follow the signs for Peel and Castletown .
At the mini roundabout (with the cannons in the middle and the old bus station in front of you, proceed ahead (signposted Peel / A1) picture here
About 50 yards past the bus station take the first turn on the right. Follow this road past the HSBC bank on your left, up a hill (Prospect
Hill) until you reach the fourth set of traffic lights (about half a mile; Trinity Methodist Church & Rosemount Pub on left ). Go straight ahead at the traffic lights, and then take the third turning on your left (Alexander Drive; just after a bus stop). After about 50 yards turn
right at the Woodbourne Hotel. Milton House is about 150 yards on the right hand side of the road. Its not numbered but it is opposite number 29.
Milton Apartment is in the same building as Milton Apartment and if you turn right into the lane beside the house you will find the parking area behind the building.
From the airport
Follow the road signs for Douglas (A5). After about seven miles you will reach a small roundabout with the Quarter Bridge Hotel on your
right. Follow the signs for Onchan and then take the second turning on the right (about 100 yards past the roundabout).
This road is known as Alexander Drive and veers off sharply soon after an even sharper
turning. Proceed past a crossroad, a petrol forecourt on your left, a further cross road until you come to the Woodbourne Hotel on your left. Turn left here and you will find Milton House about 150 yards on the right hand
side as above.
